Meet Blogger, the b*tch.

Okay, I promised to be posting a lot more reviews this week. But for some reason, BLOGGER WON'T LET ME! I'm lucky this is actually publishing because I've tried posting from every device! (Phone, tablet, laptop, computer and even my 3DS & Wii U!) This is really strange, I made for reviews (one was a double) this week and Blogger failed to publish them! And then deleted them! Soooo now I CANNOT be bothered to remake those reviews because I have LITERALLY no time...

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) - Review

Hello everyone! It's finally time for another review! Today's review is about Animal Crossing: New Leaf!

So... it will soon be a whole year since AC:NL was released! And nearly a whole year since I got the game! I think is probably my all time favorite Animal Crossing game, and I've played all the past games, including Dōbutsu no Mori (Animal Forest)! It's a great simulator but it is REALLY addictive... and I'm a bit embarrassed to say... but I'm an AC addict :P

Anyway... to the review! I don't really know what to say about the game except that it's so AWESOME! I play this game everyday and I usually spend a good 1-2 hour session every time I play. So, basically you can be a mayor or villager in your very own personalized town, I flooded mine in tulips!
A mayor can:

  • Put town ordinances in place (e.g, a beautiful town, rich town, etc)
  • Can choose things to build in the town (e.g, a fountain, streetlights, etc)
  • Can take requests from villagers to build things for your town
  • Cancel projects and kick out villagers (note: to kick out villagers you must report them at least 3 times in one day)
A normal villager can do pretty much all a mayor can do, except cancel projects, build stuff and choose ordinances.

You can clothe your character, give them a makeover or change their hairstyle! Don't forget, earning bells (currency) to add furniture to your home and expand it too!

Villagers

Villagers are animal NPCs that live in your town, you can talk to them, do them favors and visit them in their houses! You can also send them letters, invite them over, play hide and seek with them and hit them with your bug net!

Main Street

Main Street is the shopping district of your town. It starts off with five buildings, the post office, the home renovation store, the convenience store, the tailors' and the museum. There are six unlockable buildings, such as the hairdressers', the shoe shop, the flower shop, the dream suite, the fortune tellers' shop and the nightclub.

OK, so that's pretty much all I can explain about the game, because I don't wanna spoil anything so I'm just gonna leave it there! I'm going to give this game a 9.5/10! Because it's against the law to give something a perfect 10! I'll try and put out as many reviews as I can in the coming week!

Mini Update

OK! So I've finally gotten back on track since I was ill (and since my last post!) I'm probably going to start writing more reviews and making more posts because I have a WHOLE WEEK OFF WORK YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! ...Ahem. I will try and make as many reviews as I can, but I won't have access to my computer most of next week and the Blogger app is evil. I will try and post daily!

Thanks! ~Kat
P.S. I might make a review or two this coming weekend!
P.P.S It will probably be another game review! (Most likely Animal Crossing: New Leaf)

YAY! I'm all better!

Hiya guys! Long time no... post? So, season 4 has finally come to an end! I hope the next season is as great as the last 4! (Except there were some flops here and there but it's all good) I doubt it will be that good. Personally, I think the finale was a bit too overdone.... and did they seriously show these episodes on a kids' channel?! I think whichever kids watched it probably have had nightmares, and are waiting to receive therapy... (OK, I know it wasn't that violent, but there were some disturbing bits like the HANDZ and the magic-eating) M'kay, now that S4 is done I need another subject to talk about... like... my condition! OK, so I'm still ill but I'm not as bad cuz' I don't have tonsillitis anymore... but I still have glandular fever! Yay! It's gonna take at least 8 weeks to get better...
For those who don't know what glandular fever is, please take a gander at my passage here:
Glandular fever is basically a follow-up from tonsillitis, and usually is the cause of it too...  Some of the symptoms are:

  • Sore throat
  • Swollen glands (the bumps at the side of your neck) (if they hurt go to a doctor soon)
  • Flu-like symptoms (headache, high-temp, muscle pains)
  • Malaise - basically extreme tiredness. Remember my post about my tiredness? Yup. That's the cause of it.

If you have developed anything like this, I recommend seeing a doctor immediately! (Except for a sore throat or headaches)

That's all from me! Oh... the reviews? I'll probably be releasing a bundle over the next couple of days!

Been really tired the last week...

OK, so I haven't really posted anything in the last week, so I'm just gonna give it to y'all bluntly... I'm really tired. Not the kind of tired where I can't get to sleep, this is a strange kind of tiredness and I've tried going to bed earlier & sleeping a few extra hours and it just doesn't help. It's not a kind of tiredness where I work for hours on end and just can't do anything after... If anyone can tell me what's wrong with me or has a solution to what I should do to help this tiredness please message me in Hangouts or contact me via email. I doubt I'll be making any reviews this week so I'm just gonna let out a massive bundle of reviews next week probably on Wednesday or something.

No New Episode Today :(

There's not gonna be a new episode today due to the Littlest Pet Shop S2 Finale, maybe I should review that instead...?

I was really looking forward to this weeks episode... :/

My Recent Pokemon Addiction

Recently I've randomly been watching Pokemon: Indigo League on Netflix, and they have some of the banned episodes! Now I've seen every banned ep, but still don't understand why "The Tower of Terror" was banned...

That's all from me! I'll be writing my Animal Crossing: New Leaf review this weekend!

Pikmin 3 (Wii U) - Review

This is my first review that's not an MLP episode review, so I'm basically going to be talking about the game's plot, graphics, modes and how the Wii U Gamepad helps with game play. (This isn't going to be the same for every game review I do.)

Pikmin... one of my favorite game series! Definitely in my top ten favorite games of all time! I never really had the chance to play the earlier games, but Pikmin 3 I think was the best game in the series (so far).

Plot - So, our story starts off with three intrepid adventurers on their way to a planet called PNF-404 (or as I call it, Planet Pikmin!) The reason? Because their so greedy back on their home planet that they ran out of food. Their mission? To find as much fruit as possible and gather as many seeds so their race won't die out. But something terrible happens; their ship crash lands and the 3 adventurers are separated! The captain, Charlie, is tossed into the snowy wasteland known as Distant Tundra and finds strange creatures, the Yellow Pikmin, the captain's right-hand man, Alph, lands in the sunny land of the Tropical Wilds and the third wheel of the adventurers, Brittany, lands in a forest area part of the Garden of Hope.
I don't want to spoil anything so I'm just gonna leave it there. :)

Graphics - The graphics in this game are so spot-on! The color is just awesome, and the plants and wildlife are just amazing! I love the way how the artists put paint pots, watering cans etc. to fit the garden-like theme!

Modes -

  • Story mode: You basically do everything I put in the plot (and all things afterwards.)
  • Missions: Complete various missions within a time limit. (2 player co-op too!) (More missions can be bought from the eShop.) I really enjoyed playing this mode but it did get a little hard.
  • Bingo Battle: (2 player VS) Race against your opponent to complete a line on your bingo card! I've only played this a couple of times but it's really fun!
Wii U Gamepad features - I know a lot of people say that in most of the Wii U's games the gamepad is completely useless. But not in Pikmin 3! You can use the gamepad to view the map on whichever area you play on, view data files you pick up, (the yellow thingies) to see enemies you've come across, to view fruit you've collected and to see your Pikmin's stats!

This is one of my favorite games for the Wii U and I highly recommend if you have a Wii U and you don't have Pikmin 3 you should get it!

I hope you guys liked my review of Pikmin 3, next I will be reviewing Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)! Also leave suggestions for other things I could review!

Update!

Okay, so I've figured I wanna do more than review episodes of MLP, so now I'll be reviewing games and maybe other shows too! (I will also review Equestria Girls after season 4 is over.)
And now I'll post reviews on random days of the week, but only days after Wednesday.

Leap of Faith (S4 E20) - Short Review

I didn't really have much to say about this is episode, but.... Kids don't take cure-all drugs.

OK, so this is another late review. This is just my rating for the review and no in-depth desc before because I couldn't find the full episode anywhere. So I'm gonna give this episode a 2.5/10 because in my eyes Flim & Flam are the WORST antagonists, keeping in mind that this is a rainbow connection episode, I don't get if AJ is being honest or not about the tonic. This is [my opinion] the WORST episode so far in this season.

B week - Reviews uploaded sometime between Wednesday & Sunday, the time will be random.

For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils - In-Depth Review

19th episode review... START!

So this episode starts off with Rarity filling out one of her clients orders, with Sweetie Belle helping her. And it turns out Rarity's client is Sapphire Shores, the pony of pop! Then SB asks Rarity to help her with the buttons & stitching on some dresses for a play she wrote, directed and acted in, Rarity agrees to help her. But SB reveals that the dresses are needed for the next day! [Theme]

Next, we see ponies rushing into a theatre. Then all the CMC are waiting for Rarity with the dresses, and Cheerilee being pushy and rushing them about. Then Rarity arrives with the newly designed dresses. Then SB, AB and Scootaloo take their places on stage. SB says the first line in her play, "For sooth and unon, I cometh forth with, and post-haste, with glad tidings, my ladies." Weirdest line ever. It's then revealed that the only thing anyone remembered were the dresses they wore. Then SB and Rarity have an arguement. SB goes to her room and does the best impression of Rarity by arguing to herself. Soon after, SB tries to get to sleep, then she makes an act of evil and removes the centre stitch of Sapphire Shores head-dress! Then she goes back to sleep.

SB dreams and gets a visit from Pwincess Woona! Then it proves that time travel is possible in Equestria! But Luna shows SB that Rarity will become a crazy pony lady!

A startled SB wakes up, to discover that Rarity already left for Canterlot! Then she makes it her goal to get Scootaloo and AB to distract Rarity while SB fixes the head-dress, then there's a wild car-chase and SB meets Luna IRL.

I give this episode 8/10. Because Pwincess Woona is my fav princess and the story was good, but it was a bit screamy around the middle and there wasn't a showtune!

Maud Pie - Review (In-Depth)

-SPOILERS! CARRY ON AT YOUR OWN RISK!!-

We have reached the 18th episode of the season... only 8 more to go!
This episode starts out with all of the Mane 6 [apart from Pinkie Pie] meeting at Sugar Cube Corner. After a quick mention of Celestia, Pinkie Pie opens the door and pushes them all in. There are rocks. EVERYWHERE! Pinkie points out that she's making candy for her sister's arrival in Ponyville. Something about this episode makes my huuungryyy.

After the theme, the ponies all get cavities from eating Pinkie's rock candy, Twilight explains how her sister won't be mad if Pinkie doesn't get it right. Then Pinkie explains how she and Maud used to exchange friendship necklaces, great animation choice might I add! And tell her friends that this will be the last time they would be exchanging friendship necklaces for a really really long time! Afterwards, Pinkie tells everyone how Maud is like each of them; she expresses her fashion sense like Rarity; she likes reading like Twilight; she's honest likes Applejack; she loves forest things like Fluttershy and she's just AWESOME! Then Rarity warns Pinkie that she should get Maud from the train station.

The girls are all sitting on the grass, when Pinkie Pie joins them. They ask where Maud is and Pinkie tells them how Maud is much slower than her, and says that Gummy was staying with her so she didn't get lost. Then Maud gets introduced. Her pocket-pet is also introduced, Boulder the rock. Afterwards they play a game of 'Camouflage' [it's like Hide 'n Seek but waaay more intense] then it's revealed that Boulder was hiding in Maud's pocket. Pinkie & Maud go back home, and the rest of the Mane 6 are left with sad faces.

Day 2 of Maud's visit:
Maud spends some time with Rarity, who offers to make her a dress. She tells Maud to pick a fabric from her fabric rolls, but Maud chooses a dish-cloth. Next she goes and visits Fluttershy, who is out in the forest with animals. Fluttershy spies Maud at a spider, well assumes she was looking at the spider when it turns at she was actually looking at a rock. Afterwards she goes to Twilight in the library, Twilight asks Maud about poetry, and Maud recites some of her own. After she goes and visits Applejack, where they are making cider, and Maud helps with peeling the apples. Instead of actually peeling the apples she mashes them with a rock. After that she goes to Rainbow Dash they have a rock throwing contest. Maud wins, but she tells Rainbow Dash she doesn't like winning, Dash gasps.

The Mane 6 all go back to Sugar Cube Corner and meet with Pinkie. They admit that it wouldn't be right to make friendship-bracelets with Maud if they hadn't really gotten along with her... Then Pinkie turns back into Pinkamena! She goes back inside and tries to figure out what to do with 20 pounds of rock candy. (But we all know she was really plotting what to do with her friends after what they'd said about Maud.)

Pinkie gathers all of the Mane 6 & Maud and shows them Pinkie-Rainbow-Rari-Twi-Apple-Flutter-Maud Fun Time! And she shows everyone how they can all mix their likes with Maud; applesauce tunnel for Applejack; pretty-shiny stuff for Rarity; reading material for Twilight; critter-time for Fluttershy; cupcakes for Pinkie Pie; and a rock slide for Maud. But when Pinkie starts Maud's part of the race she makes the rocks start to fall, but Maud dashes to the rescue!

Maud decides that she should leave Ponyville and go back to the rock farm, Pinkie decides to go with her. When Pinkie Pie gets back to her childhood home, she is surprised to find that all of her friends were waiting there with the rock candy friendship-bracelets they had made for Maud. They all give their friendship bracelets to her, and Maud gives the one she made for Pinkie to her. Maud then pulls out a box of all the friendship-bracelets Pinkie Pie gave to her, she explains to Twilight that "I don't really like candy, but I do love Pinkie Pie."

I give this episode a 6/10 stars, because the story was written by a new writer and the story I think was a little pushed. But it was a good episode.

First Post!

Hi guys! This is my first post on my new blog! I will be reviewing episodes of MLP:FiM (S4 E19-E26), uploading my fan art and some awesome MLP fan vids for you guys to check out! I've just passed my 2-year broniversary. The reason I am doing S4 E19-26 is because I don't see the point of reviewing earlier episodes. (I might review some earlier episodes when this season is done.)
